Today, at the online stock exchanges, millions are gained and lost with a single mouse click. Ownership has become an abstract concept, no longer controllable. It has turned into a self-perpetuating symbol of greed.
From his clownish casino, uncle Scrooge watches with childlike naivety, surprised and fascinated by what unfolds beneath his protected box. The fate of the masses is of no interest to Scrooge McDuck and those like him. For them, the world is merely a stock market stage on which they indulge in their boundless excess.
